About Us

Nestled in the heart of Lenoir County, UNC Lenoir Health Care's mission is to provide area residents with cost-effective healthcare services which result in excellent clinical outcomes, improved health status and outstanding customer service. UNC Lenoir, licensed for 261 beds, is a not-for-profit hospital, affiliated with the UNC and dedicated to the community it serves by offering quality inpatient, outpatient and preventive healthcare services that are close to home.

In addition to general medical, surgical, and obstetrical and gynecological care, UNC Lenoir offers specialized services including cardiology, pulmonology, oncology, orthopedics, radiology and urology. Recently, we've added bariatric to our services menu. With a medical staff of over 100 physicians, UNC Lenoir offers a range of specialty services and technology you would only expect to find at hospitals in larger cities.

Concerned with the health status of the community it serves, UNC Lenoir offers many free and low cost educational health programs, seminars, and screenings each year, and constantly seeks out new ways to positively impact the health status of the residents of Lenoir, Greene, Jones and surrounding counties. Services provided include chronic disease management programming.

The Minges Wellness Center offers members ease of access to low cost memberships where a variety of equipment, classes and educational offerings improve member's health status and assist them with the lifestyle changes necessary for improved lifelong health.
